Please join us for our next Unlearning Racism conversation! This time we will be exploring how to find joy in climate action, thanks to the work of marine biologist, climate policy analyst and inspirational leader Dr. Ayana Elizabeth Johnson. She is co-founder of the climate initiative The All We Can Save Project, and co-creator of the podcast How to Save a Planet. To prepare for our Unlearning Racism gathering, please listen to this 10-minute Ted Talk and we’ll take time during our gathering to work on this Climate Venn diagram exercise she pioneered.

Robin Straughan, CCP
Robin Straughan is the City of Hillsboro’s Sustainability & Resiliency Manager. She has worked in the public sector for over 20 years in various environmental and sustainability roles. Most recently she completed her certification as a Climate Change Professional through the Association of Climate Change Officers. Evelyn Wight
Evelyn is an enthusiastic marketing communications leader focused on the environment. She has a keen interest in using storytelling and strategic communications to drive behavior and policy change to uplift people and nature.
Kim Slack
Kim is an engineer-turned-science educator and nature-based leadership guide. Her 12 years of work as a civil/environmental engineer in the U.S., Kenya, and Haiti bring a practical and culturally responsive lens to her work as an educator, guide, and servant leader. She is wholeheartedly committed to nurturing healthy relationships between humans and nature through immersive, nature-based, experiential education that is accessible to all learners.
