GC Nature Hour: Meaningful Climate Action!
August 26 @ 9:00 AM - 10:00 AM
The Carbon Almanac: A Global Climate Action Collaborative
Please join us on August 26 at 10am – 11am MT to hear from GC member, Jennifer Simpson as she shares about her experience contributing to the production and launch of The Carbon Almanac.
This is not just an amazing book, full of resources and explainers on all things climate-related, it is fast becoming a global movement with additional resources including a Photo Book, Kid’s Book, Educator’s Guide, FOUR Podcasts, and tools to help readers “Connect the Dots” in their local communities. The book has already been translated into multiple languages and is a #1 bestseller in three countries, but the idea was only born in October of 2021. It is already generating exciting press all around the world and being features in blogs, newspapers, and magazines.
The volunteers who built this (including Jen!) did simultaneous book signings on six continents, with dozens of co-authors coming together in a hybrid virtual/real life jamboree of possibility. Creating a world record while they were at it. Come hear Jen talk about this exciting project. If you haven’t gotten a copy of your book yet, you can get one here.
If you are affiliated with a non-profit or educational institution and want free copies for your members or team, or are wondering how you can get involved, reach out to Jen at firstname.lastname@example.org and she’ll get you connected and make warm introductions. Hope to see you on August 26th.
