Winter Reflections: Pause and Reflect on the Changing Light of Winter

What: Winter Solstice Seasons Council Gathering – for members and guests

When: December 21, 2025, 9 am – 10 am PST // 10 am – 11 am MST // 12 pm – 1 pm EST // 6 pm – 7 pm CEST. As always, we will open the zoom room 15 minutes prior for socializing.

Why: Coming together for community, insight, inspiration and hope

*Our event will start at noon EST, but as usual we will open up the room 15 minutes before the top of the hour for informal social time.

In the northern hemisphere, Winter Solstice marks the longest and darkest night of the year. The dark stillness of December and January invite us to pause and reflect on our lives.

You are warmly welcomed to come and gather around the (virtual) Council fire with your Generative Council sisters as we pause, reflect, and reconnect!

The energies of Winter invite STILLNESS. Create space for personal insights with the sacred gift of SOLO. Here are some possible questions to ponder:

• What old beliefs are ready to be released into the winter fire?

I am a deeply-rooted, insightful nature connector. I am a certified interpretive educator, certified master naturalist, and president of The Central Highlands Master Naturalist Chapter. I’m dedicated to outdoor youth experience-based education, I am a program co-lead, and personally teach elementary students in outdoor habitat environments. I bring 29 yrs of corporate leadership experience and I’m honored to be a nature-based leadership guide for the Center for Nature and Leadership. I give my leadership and volunteer service to the Grand Canyon Nat’l Park, the Grand Canyon Trust, and the Highlands Center for Natural History. Two great loves comprise the heart of who I am and the work I do in the world. One is a profound connection with the earth forged by my childhood on a small farm and honed through a lifetime of listening to the land, exploring, and living in natural places. The other is a deep spirituality comprised of contemplative and nature-based practices, Soulcraft™, spiritual discernment, and wilderness rites of passage. I weave these two great loves in my work as a sustainability leader and contemplative practitioner and teacher. My commitment is to support organizations and individuals in moving beyond sustainability to restoration and flourishing.
