**Please bring a candle**

The Spring, or Vernal Equinox are two moments in the year when the Sun is exactly above the Equator and day and night are of equal length. This moment is a tipping point, towards increasing light and warmth in the northern hemisphere. Seeds break through their seed shells sending tender growth to reach down into soil as roots and up towards the sun – both actions seeking nourishment. This time of year reminds us of the hope, and/or courage it takes for new life, ideas and actions to take hold. And this spring, with its tumultuous amount of change and suffering in the world, holds a particular sense of urgency to bring our best selves forward.

Let us pause, reflect and gather wisdom from solo time in nature and in community in Council with other GC sisters. We have only two questions for you to carry forth on your solo or in Council:

  • What is my learning edge right now to bring my best self into the world – hope or courage?
  • And how best can I nourish this learning edge?

Sending love,
Beverly Winterscheid & Chris Schneider, hosts

Beverly Winterscheid

Beverly is a mentor and motivator for women who want to change the world through passionate commitment to their ideas, families, organizations, and communities. After investing two decades in change management with a large systems focus, including a Ph.D. in Strategic Management, she came to the conclusion that change happens one person at a time. In 2008, she founded the Center for Nature and Leadership (CNL) to blend traditional leadership development with scientific findings on the beneficial effects of Nature on humans. She launched the The Generative Council, CNL’s keystone program, designed to provide diverse women leaders the time & space to develop their personal & professional impact, CNL now offers virtual and regional programming based on these same principles. Creating and achieving bottom-lines of all sorts, and helping other women see the wisdom of Nature at work in their own lives is what she loves to do. Cultivating fearless leaders, those who stand firmly on authenticity and truth, who strive to bring new visions into reality in concert with others is her passion and expertise.
