Have you ever wondered what it would be like to leave the trappings of your daily life to hike the length of the Appalachian Trail (AT) alone? Join us to hear from Jenny Seydel who did exactly that in 2025. From choosing proper equipment, working out to prepare her body, getting a dog and house-sitter for six months, to planning and arranging supply drop-offs and managing expenses, we’ll hear how Jenny navigated her inner and outer epic journey, and what she discovered about herself and the world along the way.

The Conversations with Courageous Women interview series features a live zoom conversation with a CNL member who stepped off the ‘typical” path to follow her vision. Hosted by Beverly Winterscheid with lots of Q&A from participants, we’ll explore the leadership qualities of proactivity, resilience and courage that were required by each woman, as well as practical considerations for those that are contemplating or are on similar journeys. All sessions will have a 15 minute social session before starting at 9am PT, 10am MT, 11am CT, 12 ET and running for 75 minutes.
