Easing Back to Life

Nature-based practices to restore your

pandemic-weary mind, heart and body

June 10th – August 12th, 2021

Join with other like-minded women for support and wisdom
to reflect, revive and begin anew.

Easing Back to Life is an opportunity to come back to life through intentional nature-based practices that will awaken your senses, enliven your spirit, and restore your sense of wholeness after a year in which so much was taken away. As the pandemic eases and many voices urge us to plunge into the frenzy of our old lives, there is a greater wisdom that awaits if we ease back to life. This is a chance to reflect on who we are now, join a supportive community of women, and learn some practices that will support a conscious, intentional re-emergence.

The sessions will include a mix of deep dives into nature-based practices that the guides have found to be the most healing and enlivening, and a community conversation process to deepen personal insights. In your free time between sessions we ask you to try these practices out in natural locations near your home.

Thursday, June 10th – Coming Alive through your Senses
Thursday, June 24th – Reflections, discoveries, questions

Thursday, July 8th – Recapturing a Sense of Wonder
Thursday, July 22nd – Reflections, discoveries, questions

Thursday, July 29th – Listening to Earth’s Wisdom
Thursday, August 12th – Taking our learning forward

“Spending time in nature with a broader vision for my life has yielded incredible insights. Setting time aside to contemplate both my personal and professional hopes. And what a lovely bonus to be in a reflective, supportive community with strong, interesting women!”

Karen Marie Christenson, St. Paul, Minnesota

Your Guides

Beverly Winterscheid, Ph.D.

I’m a deep-rooted, heart-forward guide for the voice of Nature speaking to and through you. With 20+ years of corporate and academic experience in strategy & leadership development, I now focus on guiding women to cultivate their unique talents in growing more just, equitable and Earth-affirming families, organizations and communities. That’s why I launched the Center for Nature & Leadership, and especially, the Generative Council. What better teachers are there for most situations in life than Mother Nature and a community of talented women?

Guide: Cary Gaunt, Ph.D.

Two great loves comprise the heart of who I am and the work I do in the world. One is a profound connection with the earth forged by my childhood on a small farm in Virginia’s Shenandoah Valley and honed through a lifetime of listening to the land, exploring and living in natural places. The other is a deep spirituality comprised of contemplative and nature-based practices, Soulcraft™, spiritual discernment, and wilderness rites of passage. I bring these two great loves together in my work as a sustainability leader and contemplative practitioner and teacher. My commitment is to support organizations and individuals in moving beyond sustainability to restoration and flourishing.
